The 1Q tobacco selection consists of Golden Cavendish with a hint of fire-cured black tobacco. This would be a wonderful blend for first timers to the pipe or those who like something mild & tasty. Similar Blends: Lane 1Q, Stokkebye Nougat. Worth it though in my book because it is probably one of the most flavorful aromatics out there. It was a very relaxing and mild smoke. This is a major-league SWEET aromatic. Unlike most pipe smokers, I did not start with aromatics, instead falling i nstantly in love with Latakia mixtures and then only later deciding to branch out into aromatic flavors to expand my palate. Look for some that is more coarsely constructed. I find everything about it truly satisfying. Liquor and chocolate are the first to disappear, sugar hangs out a little longer, and vanilla is the last to go at 3/4's the way. I can't seem to agree. It is pretty far in the background. A solid 10 out of 10! I smoked the 1Q in a pipe reserved for CBR and was disappointed. They're usually made of Burley tobacco, the same stuff that's most commonly used in cigarettes, and that would certainly contribute to your aftertaste, though to some degree all tobaccos will leave you with a tobacco aftertaste.
